KP Group has announced a landmark strategic partnership with South Korea’s AHES Co. Ltd. and India’s GH2 Solar Ltd. to establish a green ammonia production facility in India with a capacity of 100,000 metric tons per annum (TPA).

The facility will be developed and operated by KPI Green Hydrogen & Ammonia Pvt. Ltd. (KPI GH), a KP Group company, with AHES and GH2 Solar providing technical and strategic support, including arranging offtake agreements. Markets in South Korea, Japan, and other international destinations are being targeted, with AHES also serving as one of the direct offtakers.

The production unit will leverage renewable energy infrastructure from KP Group entities such as KPI Green Energy Ltd., K.P. Energy Ltd., and KP Green Engineering Ltd., ensuring a sustainable, low-carbon feedstock. With over 30 years of experience in renewables and a current portfolio of 1.9 GW installed and 3.9 GW under development, KP Group aims to reinforce its leadership in clean energy transition.

The agreement spans 15 years, with pricing indexed to international ammonia benchmarks. Dr. Faruk Patel, Chairman & Managing Director of KP Group, said, “This partnership exemplifies KP Group’s vision to lead clean energy innovation in India and abroad. With KPI GH operating the facility and strategic support from AHES and GH2, we are setting new benchmarks in green ammonia production and international collaboration.”

AHES brings global expertise in electrolyzers, hydrogen storage, and Power-to-Gas solutions, while GH2 Solar contributes Indian execution strength in solar, green hydrogen, and electrolyser technologies.

This project aligns with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, supporting decarbonization goals and positioning KP Group at the forefront of India’s renewable energy transition.
