Kotak Mahindra Bank has announced that Shanti Ekambaram has retired from her role as Deputy Managing Director, effective October 31, 2025, marking the end of her tenure with the private-sector lender. The bank confirmed the development in a regulatory filing on November 1, noting that she also ceases to be a Director and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the company.
Ekambaram’s retirement brings an end to a significant chapter for Kotak Mahindra Bank, where she has held leadership roles across multiple divisions. During her tenure, she played a key role in shaping the bank’s corporate, retail and digital banking verticals, contributing to its evolving business strategy and sustained market presence.
In the exchange filing, the bank stated, “Ms. Shanti Ekambaram has retired from the services of the Bank on completion of her term as the Deputy Managing Director on October 31, 2025. Accordingly, Ms. Ekambaram has ceased to be a Director and the Deputy Managing Director and a Key Managerial Personnel of the Bank on completion of her term.”
The bank has not yet announced a successor for the position.
