Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Limited has secured its fifth major work order from the Inland Waterway Authority of India (IWAI) for the design, construction, and supply of four Cutter Suction Dredgers (CSDs) along with ancillary units, including four work boats and four accommodation boats. The total order value is ₹127.12 crore (excluding taxes).
The project, aimed at augmenting the capacity of National Waterway-1 under the Jal Vikas Marg initiative, will be executed in two phases over 18 months. In the first phase, two CSDs, two work boats, and two accommodation boats will be delivered within 14 months, while the second phase will see the supply of the remaining vessels within the total project timeline of 18 months.
These state-of-the-art vessels will play a crucial role in enhancing navigability, infrastructure, and operational efficiency along River Ganga, supporting the government’s vision to strengthen India’s inland waterway transport network.
This award marks another milestone for Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works, reinforcing its leadership in marine engineering solutions and strategic collaboration with IWAI for national waterway development projects.
