foray into the maritime tourism sector with a prestigious project: the launch and operation of a luxury cruise on the River Narmada.
The company has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) to build and operate the cruise for a period of 20 years. The luxury cruise will cover approximately 135 km, connecting Kukshi in District Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, to the iconic Statue of Unity in Gujarat.
The LoA was formally handed over to KMEW during the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart 2025 by distinguished dignitaries, including Union Minister of Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, and Minister of State (IC) for Tourism, Culture, Religious Trust & Endowment, Shri Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi. The event saw the presence of tourism leaders, celebrities, and other industry stakeholders.
The upcoming cruise, “River Pearl Cruise”, will be KMEW’s flagship venture into luxury maritime tourism. The company aims to launch the vessel within 21 months from the date of LoA, following the signing of the detailed agreement with MPTB.
