Kinetic Group, a leading player in the automotive components sector, has announced the commissioning of an advanced battery manufacturing facility under the brand name Range-X in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The facility, developed under Micro Age Instruments Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Kinetic Group, marks the company’s entry into the growing EV battery market.

The manufacturing unit, built with an investment of ₹50 crore, has an annual production capacity of 60,000 battery packs designed for two-wheeler and three-wheeler electric vehicles (EVs). The facility will produce Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) batteries, catering to OEMs beyond the Kinetic Group.

Strategic Expansion Into EV Battery Market

With India’s EV sector projected to grow at a CAGR of 28.52%, reaching $18.319 billion by 2029, Kinetic Group aims to strengthen its foothold by providing high-performance, customizable battery solutions. The Range-X batteries incorporate smart BMS integration, ensuring thermal stability, enhanced efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

  • Automated Production Line: Integrated with IoT-enabled POKE-YOKE systems and stage-wise inspections to ensure quality and safety.
