Kesar Petroproducts Ltd has officially commenced commercial production at its newly established fertiliser plant in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, according to a press release issued on May 5, 2025. The new facility, with an annual capacity of 6,000 tons, is set to manufacture high-end fertilisers using by-products from the company’s pigment operations.

This strategic expansion is expected to boost the company’s annual revenues by approximately 20%, driven by enhanced utilisation of existing plant output and integration of value-added products. The management stated that this unit will not only contribute significantly to topline growth but also improve pigment production efficiency by recycling key by-products.

Chairman Dinesh Shankarlal Sharma and CEO Shreyas Sharma expressed confidence in the plant’s impact, noting the company’s investment in modern manufacturing systems and innovative technology to meet market demands. “We are confident this new unit will help further strengthen our position in the industry,” they said.

Kesar Petroproducts currently produces multiple pigment variants including Copper Phthalocyanine Blue Crude, Alpha Blue, Beta Blue, and Pigment Green, catering to sectors such as printing inks, plastics, paints, ceramics, and textiles.

The company had reported a turnover of Rs 49.66 crore in Q3 FY25, and Rs 144.18 crore for the first nine months of FY25, close to its full-year FY24 revenue of Rs 148.89 crore. With the new fertiliser unit coming online, the company aims to sustain its growth momentum into FY26.
