Kavveri Defence & Wireless Technologies Limited has announced a major expansion of its manufacturing operations at its Surajakkanahalli site in Bengaluru, alongside plans to establish a next-generation Research and Development (R&D) centre at its current headquarters.
The company will add 10,000 sq. ft. of new manufacturing space, with the flexibility to scale up to 50,000 sq. ft. in the future. The expansion aims to boost production capacity, streamline supply chain workflows, and strengthen its ability to meet domestic and global demand across the defence, wireless, and industrial communication sectors.
Post-expansion, the company’s headquarters will be redesigned into a dedicated R&D hub, equipped with advanced antenna design labs, RF testing infrastructure, simulation clusters, and prototype lines. This move will clearly separate innovation and production, enhancing design agility while improving operational efficiency.
Commenting on the development, Managing Director Shivakumar Reddy said, “This expansion at Surajakkanahalli represents an important step forward for the company. It enhances our ability to build more, test faster, and innovate efficiently. The new setup will allow our engineers to innovate in one space while production operates at full scale in another.”
The initiative aligns with Kavveri Defence’s commitment to the ‘Make in India’ mission, focusing on developing indigenous technologies for strategic and commercial use.
