K2 Infragen has secured a Rs 262 crore project from Indian Railways, marking a major addition to its order book as the company enters 2026. The company announced that it has received a Letter of Acceptance for a large-scale traction power infrastructure project under the North Western Railway.
The order involves the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 2×25 kV AC 220/132/55 kV traction substation, along with sectioning posts, sub-sectioning posts and SCADA systems. The project will be executed over the Luni (inclusive) to Bhildi (exclusive) double-line section of the Jodhpur Division.
The contract has been awarded to a joint venture between K2 Infragen and Salasar Techno Engineering, with K2 Infragen acting as the lead partner and holding a 74% stake in the JV. The project is expected to significantly strengthen power infrastructure along the Luni–Bhildi rail corridor.
Commenting on the development, Pankaj Sharma, Managing Director of K2 Infragen, said the order marks a defining moment for the company as it steps into the execution of multiple Rs 250 crore-plus projects simultaneously. He added that the Indian Railways order reinforces confidence among stakeholders and positions the company for its next phase of growth.
