Jubilant FoodWorks Limited (JFL) has announced a major move in expanding its product offerings by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Coca-Cola India Private Limited (CCIPL). This strategic partnership will see JFL purchasing a portfolio of sparkling beverage products and certain other items from Coca-Cola’s authorized bottlers. The deal also includes conducting marketing activities for these products, which will be integrated into JFL’s existing operations.
The MoU outlines the principal terms and conditions for JFL’s acquisition of sparkling beverages and other products from Coca-Cola’s authorized bottlers. The partnership will help JFL broaden its consumer offerings in the beverage market. Furthermore, the agreement will be followed by the execution of a Master Agreement, expected to commence on April 1, 2025. The announcement is made in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
As per the MoU, JFL will engage in marketing activities related to the newly acquired products, which will be part of their usual business operations. The agreement specifies that a Master Agreement will be executed in 2025, based on the terms set forth in the MoU. The move allows JFL to add popular beverage brands to its product lineup, positioning the company for further growth in the fast-expanding beverage sector.
The commercial terms of the agreement have already been finalized, and it has been confirmed that the arrangement is not classified as a related party transaction. The transaction will not involve any promoters or group companies of JFL, ensuring that it operates at arm’s length.
Mona Aggarwal, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at Jubilant FoodWorks, shared her enthusiasm for the partnership. “This collaboration with Coca-Cola will significantly enhance our beverage portfolio, enabling us to offer a broader range of products to our customers and strengthen our market position,” she said.
The deal represents a significant step for JFL as it continues to expand and diversify its portfolio. The addition of Coca-Cola’s sparkling beverages is expected to attract more customers, further cementing JFL’s reputation as a leader in the food and beverage sector.
