JTL Industries Limited has successfully deployed state-of-the-art Direct Forming Technology (DFT) at its manufacturing facility in Mangaon, Maharashtra, marking a significant milestone in its operational expansion. The deployment enables the company to produce square tubes up to 350×350 mm and rectangular tubes up to 400×300 mm with a thickness of up to 14 mm, boosting its product range and manufacturing capabilities.
With the addition of this technology, JTL’s SKU range has expanded from 1,200 to 2,000, enhancing its ability to meet wider market demands. The DFT system also promises to improve manufacturing efficiency, reducing downtime by 33% and cutting downtime-related costs by 25%. Additionally, the implementation is expected to increase the contribution of higher value-added products (VAP) to over 50% of the company’s sales mix.
The Mangaon facility’s production capacity has now risen from 200,000 MTPA to 450,000 MTPA, strengthening JTL’s position as a key player in the steel tube manufacturing sector. Management emphasized that this strategic investment underlines the company’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and long-term growth.
JTL Industries operates manufacturing units across Punjab, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh, with a cumulative pipe manufacturing capacity of around 936,000 MTPA. It is a recognised Star Export House and supplies a wide range of steel tubes and pipes for infrastructure and industrial applications.
