JSW Renew Energy Thirteen, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC for 700 MW of ISTS/STU-connected solar capacity at a tariff of ₹2.59/KWh. This project, expected to be completed by June 2026, marks a significant step forward for JSW Energy’s ambitious renewable energy goals. With this deal, the company continues to expand its solar pipeline, which now stands at 3.2 GW, with PPAs signed for 2.0 GW.
JSW Energy has been actively expanding its renewable energy portfolio as part of its goal to reach a total generation capacity of 20 GW and energy storage capacity of 40 GWh by 2030. The company’s current locked-in generation capacity stands at 18.2 GW, which includes operational, under-construction, and renewable energy projects.
This latest PPA deal with NTPC further strengthens JSW Energy’s commitment to clean energy and its long-term goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
