JSW Energy Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary JSW Neo Energy Limited (JSWNEL), has acquired 100% equity shares of Virya Infrapower Private Limited, making it a step-down subsidiary of the company. The acquisition, executed through a Share Purchase Agreement, aligns with JSW Energy’s strategy to expand its renewable energy footprint in India.
Virya Infrapower is engaged in renewable power project development but has reported no revenue from operations in the past three financial years. The transaction, valued at an Enterprise Value of ₹7.54 crore, has been completed on a 100% cash basis, subject to post-closing adjustments.
JSW Energy stated that the acquisition provides an opportunity to acquire a ready renewable power site with existing infrastructure, enabling faster project development. The company continues to strengthen its clean energy portfolio, furthering its commitment to India’s energy transition.
