JK Cement Limited has been declared the ‘Preferred Bidder’ for the Gaitara Limestone Block in Baloda Bazar district, Chhattisgarh, following successful participation in an e-auction conducted by the Government of Chhattisgarh.

The limestone block spans an area of 555 hectares and has been explored at the G4 level, indicating early-stage mineral resource estimates. The company secured a composite license, which includes prospecting followed by mining operations, subject to further regulatory clearances and compliance.

This acquisition is expected to significantly strengthen JK Cement’s raw material reserves, supporting its plans for long-term expansion and sustainability in the cement manufacturing sector.

The company confirmed the update in an official communication dated March 29, 2025, filed with both BSE and NSE, in compliance with SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
