Jindal Stainless Ltd. has reported a significant 21% decline in its net profit for the second quarter of FY2025. The company’s consolidated net profit dropped to ₹609.42 crore, compared to ₹774.03 crore in the same period last year, reflecting a challenging quarter.

Despite a marginal increase in total income to ₹9,823.88 crores, down from ₹9,8928.97 crore year-on-year, the company’s total expenses grew to ₹8,989.83 crore, from ₹8,944.04 crore in Q2 FY2023. Key contributors to the rising expenses were employee benefits, finance costs, and depreciation, which significantly impacted profitability.

Profit before tax also witnessed a decline, dropping to ₹834.27 crores from ₹892.23 crore year-on-year. The company’s performance this quarter indicates increased pressure on its margins and profitability, leading to the 21% decline in net profit.
