Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), India’s biggest stainless steel producer, has rolled out a new initiative called ‘JSL Saathi Pragati’, positioning it as the country’s largest loyalty programme tailored specifically for the stainless steel Pipes & Tubes industry. The company is aiming to deepen its connect with retailers and fabricators by giving them a structured way to earn rewards, access exclusive benefits, and enjoy a smoother digital experience, all while reinforcing trust in genuine stainless steel products.
The new programme builds on the success of the earlier Jindal Saathi Seal, which was designed to help customers and trade partners easily distinguish authentic products from counterfeit ones. With Saathi Pragati, JSL is taking that intention a step further by pairing authenticity assurance with ongoing engagement. Every pipe and tube now comes with a unique QR code. Retailers and fabricators simply scan it through the JSL Saathi Pragati app on Android or iOS to verify authenticity, record their purchase, and start collecting points that can later be redeemed for various rewards. The response so far has been extremely positive, with more than 30,000 fabricators and retailers already onboarded, reflecting how relevant and timely this programme is for the industry.
JSL has also woven in an important social benefit by offering accidental life insurance coverage for registered fabricators. This adds a layer of security for those who form the backbone of India’s stainless steel fabrication ecosystem. Alongside this, the company is using the platform to strengthen skills in the community. Its Fabricator Training Programmes, run under the Stainless Academy, will now be accessible directly through the app, making it easier for participants to discover courses on fabrication techniques and advanced stainless steel applications.
While the programme is currently focused on the Pipes & Tubes segment, Jindal Stainless plans to extend it to more categories over the next few years. With Saathi Pragati, the company is clearly working toward a more connected, digitally enabled, and transparent marketplace where genuine stainless steel products are encouraged and rewarded. It also signals JSL’s broader commitment to supporting the people who drive growth and transformation at the ground level, ensuring that both engagement and authenticity become standard practice across the sector.
