Jagatjit Industries Limited has officially commenced commercial production of ethanol at its newly established 200 KLPD grain-based distillery plant located in Jagatjit Nagar, Village Hamira, District Kapurthala, Punjab.
The development was announced on July 18, 2025, in line with previous company updates shared on July 22, 2022, October 14, 2022, and September 27, 2023.
In the exchange filing, the company shared, “We wish to inform you that, today i.e. 18t July, 2025, the Company has commenced commercial production of Ethanol from Grain from its newly set up 200 KLPD Grain based Ethanol Distillery Plant at the Company’s unit situated at Jagatjit Nagar, Village Hamira, Distt. Kapurthala, Punjab – 144802.”
This new facility marks a significant milestone for the company as it diversifies into the ethanol manufacturing space, aligning with India’s growing focus on green energy and ethanol blending programs.
