Ircon International Ltd. has bagged a Letter of Award (LOA) worth Rs 127.8 crore from the S&T (Construction) department of North Western Railway, Indian Railways. The project involves design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a microprocessor-based electronic interlocking (EI) system at 20 stations in the Ajmer Division.
As per the regulatory filing dated April 11, 2025, the scope also includes automatic block signalling and all associated indoor and outdoor works related to signalling and telecom systems and gears. The project will be executed over a 24-month timeline from the date of issuance of the LOA.
This is a domestic works contract and does not fall under related party transactions. The company clarified that no promoter or group entity has any interest in the awarding authority. The total consideration of the contract stands at Rs 127,80,36,115.49.
The project reinforces Ircon’s strategic position as a key player in India’s railway infrastructure development, especially in the area of signalling automation and modernisation.
