Inox Wind Limited (IWL), one of India’s leading wind energy solutions providers, has entered into an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KP Energy Limited (KPE), a well-established balance-of-plant and renewable infrastructure developer. The partnership sets the stage for the joint development of 2.5 GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid power projects spread across multiple Indian states, marking a major push toward accelerating renewable capacity addition in the country.

The understanding between the two companies is built around a clear division of strengths. Inox Wind, along with its group entities, will supply Wind Turbine Generators and related components, besides offering detailed engineering services covering USS design, transformer specifications and foundation design. The company will also handle pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks, followed by ongoing operations and maintenance for the wind turbine generators.

KP Energy will focus on the development side of the project by securing land, right-of-way and grid connectivity, along with obtaining all required statutory approvals. The company will be responsible for executing balance-of-plant and EPC works, and later managing the O&M of the project’s balance-of-plant infrastructure. With both organisations combining their core expertise, the partnership aims to deliver high-quality renewable energy assets within competitive timelines.

The collaboration is expected to reinforce the market positioning of both IWL and KPE. For KP Energy, assured access to Inox Wind’s turbines and engineering know-how enhances its ability to deliver fully integrated renewable energy projects. For Inox Wind, the association with a strong on-ground partner like KPE adds significant execution depth, enabling the company to scale more rapidly in a growing clean-energy market.
