Infosys Limited has announced a strategic collaboration with Spark New Zealand, the country’s largest telecommunications and digital services company, to accelerate Spark’s digital transformation and reduce IT operating costs. The announcement was made on April 16, 2025, through a joint press release.
As part of this partnership, Infosys will provide advanced DevOps and software engineering services to Spark. Leveraging its AI-first suite, Infosys Topaz, and its cloud offering Infosys Cobalt, the Indian IT giant will help Spark build, test, integrate, and deliver its systems and applications more efficiently.
The collaboration aims to enhance Spark’s customer experience by using generative AI and automation technologies. Despite this strategic outsourcing, Spark will retain full control over its IT architecture, product design, and innovation roadmap.
Matt Bain, Data and Marketing Director at Spark, said the collaboration will allow their teams to focus more on tech strategy while Infosys brings in global execution capability and innovation. “Infosys has collaborated with Spark for over 16 years… We are now building on this relationship,” Bain said.
Raja Shah, EVP and Industry Head at Infosys, emphasized that this extended partnership underscores Infosys’s commitment to digital innovation and customer-focused transformation.
Additionally, Infosys will increase its local workforce in New Zealand to support this partnership and ensure the availability of regional expertise, reflecting the company’s broader strategy of delivering global services with a local touch.
