Infosys has announced the launch of its Springboard Makerlab at Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, Pune, as part of its broader mission to foster STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning and hands-on innovation among young learners.
Unveiled on March 26, 2025, the initiative will offer access to a wide range of cutting-edge technologies including robotics, IoT, AR/VR, drones, microcontrollers, and 3D printing. The lab is open to students of Symbiosis and nearby institutions and aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Infosys said the lab will play a pivotal role in preparing students for the demands of Industry 4.0, automation, and digital transformation. The program is part of Infosys Springboard, the company’s flagship education and employability initiative.
Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro-Chancellor of Symbiosis University, noted that the collaboration is aligned with the National Education Policy 2024, and will empower students to become creators and problem-solvers. Thirumala Arohi, EVP and Head – Education, Training, and Assessment at Infosys, added that the Makerlab would help shape a future-ready workforce.
This is the first lab of its kind under the Infosys Springboard banner and is part of the company’s commitment to driving inclusive digital learning and innovation across India.
