Indo Count Industries Ltd (ICIL), a global leader in home textile manufacturing, has announced a significant expansion in the United States with the establishment of a strategic greenfield manufacturing facility in North Carolina. This move reinforces the company’s growing footprint across the U.S. and strengthens its presence on the East Coast, West Coast, and Midwest.
The new facility, set up by Indo Count Global East Inc., a step-down subsidiary of ICIL’s wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, will focus on expanding the company’s Utility Bedding business. With an investment of approximately $15 million, the North Carolina plant will manufacture 18 million pillows annually, complementing Indo Count’s existing facilities in Phoenix, Arizona (West Coast), and Columbus, Ohio (Midwest). The expansion is structured through a debt-equity model of 75:25 and is expected to boost Indo Count’s overall U.S. revenue to approximately $175 million across its three locations.
Mr. Anil Kumar Jain, Executive Chairman of Indo Count, highlighted the strategic importance of this expansion, stating, “The establishment of our new greenfield facility in North Carolina marks a significant milestone in Indo Count’s growth strategy. This project is not just about increasing capacity; it’s about creating a nationwide manufacturing network that enhances our ability to serve customers efficiently.”
With the addition of the North Carolina facility, Indo Count’s total annual U.S. manufacturing capacity will increase to 31 million pillows and 1.5 million quilts, reinforcing its leadership in the Utility Bedding segment.
