Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has officially entered into an agreement with NICDC Logistics Data Services Ltd. (NLDS) to integrate its API with the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP). This collaboration aims to enhance the transparency and efficiency of India’s logistics sector, providing real-time visibility into fuel station locations and pricing data across the country.
The integration of HPCL’s API into ULIP will significantly benefit logistics service providers by offering crucial information on fuel station availability and fluctuating fuel prices. This will help in reducing inefficiencies and optimizing planning for long-haul trips, ensuring smoother operations and timely deliveries. With this integration, fleet operators can plan routes more effectively, minimizing unplanned stops and downtime.
The API also plays a pivotal role in addressing the logistics industry’s pain points by enabling route-specific fuel cost analysis, making data-driven decisions possible for logistics operators. This move is expected to drive innovation within the sector, as evidenced by the adoption of HPCL’s API by over 10 participants in the ongoing ULIP Hackathon 2.0, who are developing solutions such as dynamic route optimization and fuel cost calculators.
This partnership reflects HPCL’s commitment to leveraging technology for better logistics solutions and contributing to ULIP’s goal of digitizing India’s supply chain ecosystem.
