Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd has achieved a major export milestone by completing its first-ever liquid coal tar pitch shipment to the Middle East from its dedicated terminal at the New Mangalore Port. The company disclosed the development in an exchange filing dated December 1, 2025.
The shipment comprised 3,600 tonnes of liquid coal tar pitch, a critical raw material used in aluminium smelting, graphite electrode manufacturing and other high-temperature industrial processes. The successful dispatch demonstrates Himadri’s operational depth, integrated logistics capability and readiness to cater to large-scale international demand.
Marks opening of a second major export corridor
Himadri already operates a large terminal at Haldia on India’s eastern coast. The execution of this shipment from the western coastline effectively opens a second export corridor, enhancing flexibility and strengthening the company’s ability to serve key global markets, especially the Middle East and the Americas.
The company said the milestone reinforces India’s growing role in the global carbon materials supply chain while showcasing Himadri’s strong manufacturing expertise and quality systems.
