HFCL Limited has been awarded significant contracts under the BharatNet Phase III project worth more than Rs 8100 crores.
The company, along with its consortium partners HFCL-Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and Aerial Telecom Solutions Private Limited, has emerged as the lowest bidder for providing middle-mile networks in Uttar Pradesh (East) and Uttar Pradesh (West), valued at approximately ₹6,925 crores. This project aims to strengthen India’s telecom infrastructure under the Government of India’s BharatNet initiative.
In addition to the network deployment, HFCL’s consortium will be tasked with a 10-year Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract, valued at ₹4,155 crores. The O&M contract features annual payments based on a percentage of capital expenditure, with 5.5% for the first five years and 6.5% for the next five years after commissioning.
The company has also emerged as the top bidder for the Punjab circle under BharatNet Phase III, with a bid value of around Rs 1,244 crores. Alongside this, HFCL is expected to secure an O&M order worth ₹746 crores for the Punjab region, following the commissioning of the network.
