Heritage Foods Ltd has announced price cuts across its dairy portfolio, passing on the full benefits of the GST rationalisation announced by the government, effective September 22, 2025. The company said the move comes just ahead of the festive season and is expected to stimulate volumes while reinforcing its market leadership.
Executive Director Brahmani Nara said the reduction in GST rates on essentials like paneer, ghee, butter and cheese would make dairy more affordable for families across India. “For us at Heritage, this isn’t just about lower prices, it’s about ensuring that the purity our products are known for becomes even more accessible,” she added.
Under the revised pricing, UHT milk will be cheaper by ₹3 per litre, ghee by ₹50 per litre, butter and cheese by ₹50 per kg, paneer by ₹25 per kg, and ice cream by ₹20–35 depending on the pack size. Fresh milk prices remain unchanged as the category was exempt from GST from the beginning.
The company said the decision underscores its consumer-first approach, ensuring affordability without compromising quality. Heritage Foods highlighted that the reductions come at a time when products like ghee, paneer and ice cream play a central role in festive cooking, making celebrations more joyous for households across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities as well.
