HCLTech reported a net headcount reduction of 4,061 employees during the fourth quarter of FY25, bringing its total workforce to 223,420 as of March 31, 2025. The decline was largely driven by a divestiture-related reduction of 7,398 employees during the quarter.
Despite the overall fall, the company onboarded 7,829 freshers in the same period, indicating continued investments in early-career talent.
The company’s last twelve months (LTM) attrition rate stood at 13.0%, up from 12.4% in the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year. Notably, this attrition metric excludes involuntary exits and employees in digital process operations.
The employee update reflects HCLTech’s evolving workforce strategy amid a challenging macroeconomic and demand environment.
