HCLTech, a leading global technology company, has entered into a 10-year strategic partnership with the Dunedin City Council (DCC) to modernize and manage its IT services. The collaboration aims to boost digital transformation, improve service delivery, and enhance community engagement across the region.
Under the deal, HCLTech will revamp DCC’s IT operations, covering areas like cybersecurity, hybrid cloud, service management, IT asset management, and network services. This will help the Council scale its services securely while enabling staff to access modern omnichannel tools, self-service options, and responsive onsite support.
By integrating automation and AI-powered platforms, HCLTech will reduce system downtime, handle routine IT tasks, and offer 24/7 virtual assistance—making digital services more efficient and user-friendly for both staff and Dunedin residents.
DCC’s General Manager of Corporate Services, Robert West, said, “This partnership supports the Council’s five-year IT Strategy and was established through a rigorous procurement process. HCLTech has proven strengths in delivering smart, innovative IT services to the public sector.”
