HCL Technologies (HCLTech) has announced the launch of VisionX 2.0, an upgraded version of its multi-modal AI edge platform designed to deliver real-time intelligence, enhanced safety and improved operational efficiency across mission-critical industrial environments.
The new VisionX 2.0 platform builds on HCLTech’s award-winning Intelligent Secure Edge capabilities and integrates advanced computer vision, vision language models (VLMs), multi-modal data fusion and edge-optimized generative AI. It is engineered to help enterprises modernise operations in complex industrial settings such as manufacturing, logistics, energy and large-scale infrastructure.
VisionX 2.0 harnesses the physical AI computing stack of NVIDIA, including NVIDIA Blueprint for video search and summarization (VSS), NVIDIA DeepStream, NVIDIA Cosmos Reason VLM and NVIDIA TAO for post-training vision models. By combining these technologies, the platform delivers high-performance video analytics, contextual reasoning and intelligent automation directly at the edge.
A key highlight of VisionX 2.0 is its on-prem edge AI performance. Real-time inference is enabled through NVIDIA Jetson modules and NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs, along with deployments powered by Dell Technologies’ NativeEdge. This approach eliminates bandwidth bottlenecks, safeguards data privacy and supports sensitive industrial operations without heavy dependence on cloud connectivity.
The platform’s multi-modal AIoT engine analyzes video, audio, images, LiDAR feeds, stereo cameras and IoT telemetry streams simultaneously. By fusing diverse data inputs, VisionX 2.0 can detect events, anomalies, safety violations and operational risks with greater accuracy, helping organizations respond faster and more effectively.
VisionX 2.0 also introduces a VSS Event Reviewer designed to improve reliability. Selected computer vision clips are processed through Cosmos Reason to detect false positives and apply additional NLP-based reasoning. This enables scene-level insights and strengthens decision-making confidence for industrial operators.
Security remains central to the platform’s architecture. VisionX 2.0 incorporates a Zero-Trust framework along with Zero-Touch Provisioning on Dell NativeEdge OS, ensuring secure and scalable deployment across distributed industrial sites. The platform is also compatible with existing cameras, Video Management Systems (VMS) and sensors through a flexible integration layer, allowing enterprises to leverage current infrastructure investments.
VisionX 2.0 forms part of HCLTech’s broader Physical AI portfolio, which combines Kinetic AI, Autonomous Systems and Edge AI to drive productivity, resilience and sustainability in real-world environments. With this launch, HCLTech is reinforcing its focus on edge-driven AI innovation and helping industries accelerate intelligent transformation at scale.
