
HBL Engineering Limited, formerly known as HBL Power Systems Limited, has received two significant contracts for the provision of KAVACH systems (version 4.0) under the HBL-Shivakriti Consortium. These contracts, awarded by Indian Railways, aim to enhance railway safety and signaling systems.
The first contract, valued at ₹244.68 crore (including GST), covers the installation of KAVACH systems in the Viramgam-Rajkot-Okha section of the Rajkot Division under Western Railway. The second contract, worth ₹255 crore (including GST), is for implementing KAVACH technology in the Dholpur-Bina section of the Jhansi Division under North Central Railway. Both projects are expected to be completed within approximately two years from the appointed date.
KAVACH, an advanced train protection system developed in India, plays a crucial role in preventing collisions, ensuring safe train operations, and enhancing railway efficiency. As the lead member of the consortium, HBL Engineering is set to contribute significantly to modernizing India’s railway infrastructure.
The company has confirmed that these contracts do not fall under related party transactions, and none of its promoters hold any interest in the awarded entity.
