Gujarat Gas Limited reported its second-quarter results for FY 2024-25, showcasing robust performance across key metrics. The company achieved a CNG volume of 2.93 million metric standard cubic meters per day (mmscmd) in Q2 FY25, marking a 12% increase compared to the same quarter in the previous fiscal year.

For the quarter ended September 30, 2024, Gujarat Gas registered a revenue from operations of Rs 3,949 crore, slightly down from Rs 3,991 crore in Q2 FY24. However, the company’s EBITDA for Q2 FY25 rose by 5% year-on-year, reaching Rs 553 crore compared to Rs 526 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Standalone profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter stood at Rs 307 crore, up 3% from Rs 298 crore in Q2 FY24.

The company’s total sales volumes for Q2 FY25 amounted to 8.75 mmscmd, compared to 9.32 mmscmd in the previous year’s corresponding quarter. Gujarat Gas noted significant growth in the CNG category, driven by favorable government policies and increased consumer adoption. The company also expanded its infrastructure, adding around 38,500 new domestic customers and nine new CNG stations during the quarter.

For the half-year period ending September 30, 2024, Gujarat Gas reported total sales volumes of 9.86 mmscmd, reflecting a 6% increase compared to 9.27 mmscmd in H1 FY24. The company continues to lead as a major city gas distributor in India, with a strong network of over 41,700 km of gas pipelines and more than 820 CNG stations
