Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited (GAEL) has successfully commenced commercial production at its Greenfield 1200 TPD Maize Processing Unit in Sitarganj, Uttarakhand, as of March 26, 2025.
This marks a major milestone in GAEL’s expansion strategy, pushing its total installed maize processing capacity to 5200 TPD. The Sitarganj facility is now India’s largest maize processing plant, with an installed crushing capacity of 1950 TPD, Native Starch capacity of 800 TPD, and value-added starch derivatives capacity of 550 TPD.
The company is on track to achieve its 6000 TPD maize processing capacity target by 2026, reinforcing its position as a market leader in the agro-processing sector. This expansion will strengthen GAEL’s ability to meet the rising demand for starches, sweeteners, and value-added derivatives across various industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and paper.
In the meantime, Gujarat Ambuja Exports shares opened today at ₹103.32, hitting a high of ₹104.90 and a low of ₹102.10 in today’s session. The stock remains significantly below its 52-week high of ₹187.10 but stays above its 52-week low of ₹98.72.
