Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL), a leading chemicals manufacturer promoted by the Government of Gujarat, has announced plans to establish a 200 TPD (tons per day) Caustic Soda flaking unit at an estimated investment of ₹95 crore.

The decision, approved by the Board of Directors at a meeting held on 11th February 2025, aims to convert Caustic Soda lye into Caustic Soda flakes, providing the company with enhanced flexibility to meet market demands.
