GRP Limited has officially commenced commercial production of crumb rubber at its newly constructed manufacturing unit in Solapur, Maharashtra. The production began on Monday, March 24, 2025, according to a regulatory filing submitted to BSE and NSE.

The facility is located at Plot No. D-16, MIDC Industrial Area, Chincholi, Solapur – 413255. This new plant has been built with an installed capacity of 31,875 metric tonnes per annum. The company disclosed that the total investment for setting up the unit amounts to Rs 25 crore, with Rs 18 crore funded through borrowings and Rs 7 crore from internal accruals.

The new production line focuses on crumb rubber, which is expected to meet the increasing demand across various industries including reclaim rubber, tyre pyrolysis, road surfacing, and rubber goods manufacturing.

GRP stated that the capacity addition aligns with the company’s growth strategy and aims to tap into the rising market needs in these sectors. Before this development, the Solapur facility had no existing capacity or utilization.

This strategic expansion underlines GRP’s commitment to expanding its footprint in value-added rubber recycling and product innovation.
