
Greaves Cotton Ltd reported a sharp improvement in profitability for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025, with net profit rising to Rs 24.05 crore, compared to Rs 2.56 crore in Q4 FY24. The strong performance was driven by higher revenue and improved operating efficiency.
Revenue from operations rose 22.3% year-on-year to Rs 822.83 crore, up from Rs 672.53 crore in the same period last year. Total income stood at Rs 835.11 crore for the quarter, as compared to Rs 685.92 crore a year ago.
The company reported a significant improvement in its operating performance, with Q4 EBITDA rising to Rs 457 million from Rs 239 million in the same quarter last year. Correspondingly, the EBITDA margin improved to 6% in Q4 FY25 from 3.56% in Q4 FY24, reflecting better cost control and business efficiency.
Total expenses during the quarter increased to Rs 808.28 crore, largely due to higher material and operational costs. Profit before tax stood at Rs 26.83 crore, with no exceptional items impacting this quarter’s numbers.
For the full year FY25, revenue rose to Rs 2,918.44 crore, while the net loss narrowed significantly to Rs 6.28 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 367.27 crore in FY24.
