Grasim Industries, through its cellulosic fibre division Birla Cellulose, has announced a strategic partnership with Circ, a U.S.-based textile-to-textile recycling company. This collaboration aims to drive growth in the availability and accessibility of recycled fibres in the global textile industry.
As part of this partnership, Birla Cellulose will purchase up to 5,000 tons of Circ’s recycled pulp annually over the next five years. This pulp will be converted into lyocell staple fibre, supporting the production of sustainable and recycled materials. The partnership aligns with Grasim’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the development of a circular economy within the textile sector.
