Grasim Industries has achieved a significant milestone with the commencement of commercial production at its state-of-the-art paint plant in Mahad, Maharashtra, on March 4, 2025. This marks the launch of the company’s fifth greenfield facility, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening the Birla Opus brand in India’s decorative paints market.

With this addition, Grasim’s total installed capacity for decorative paints has surged to 1,096 MLPA, further solidifying its presence in the Indian market. The Mahad plant is strategically positioned to cater to the growing domestic demand for premium-quality paints.
