Graphite India Limited (GIL), one of the country’s most established graphite materials companies, has entered into an exclusive distribution and commercial partnership with Kivoro, a corporate spin-off of Graphenea and a global leader in graphene-based industrial additives. The collaboration is aimed at introducing Kivoro’s next-generation Graphene-based Heat Transfer Additive (HTA) technology to the Indian corrugated paperboard sector.

Under this agreement, GIL will serve as the sole distributor of Kivoro’s HTA solutions across India, with a core focus on corrugated paperboard manufacturers. This segment has been expanding rapidly, driven by rising demand for high-quality packaging and the need for more energy-efficient production processes. With thermal performance playing a crucial role in corrugator plant efficiency, the new technology is expected to help reduce steam usage, cut operational costs, and elevate overall board quality.

Kivoro’s proprietary HTA has been specifically designed to significantly improve heat transfer within corrugation systems. By enhancing thermal conductivity, the additive enables higher machine throughput, lower energy requirements, and better consistency during production. Through GIL’s extensive market reach and established customer relationships, both companies aim to accelerate adoption and support modernization across corrugated plants nationwide.

The collaboration also aligns with the industry’s growing push toward sustainable and cost-efficient manufacturing. As energy prices rise and packaging standards evolve, the ability to run machines at higher speeds, reduce defects, and shorten startup times can offer manufacturers a strong competitive edge. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation, efficiency, and long-term value creation for Indian industrial customers.
