GPT Infraprojects Limited has secured a new contract worth approximately Rs 37.8 crore from Eastern Railway, the company announced on October 31. The order has been awarded in a joint venture, with GPTINFRA holding a 51% share.

According to the company’s stock exchange filing, the contract involves civil and associated works for capacity-augmentation facilities at the Wagon POH facility in Jamalpur workshop. The order is to be executed within a period of 18 months. This marks another addition to the firm’s railway-focused project pipeline, particularly in maintenance infrastructure and rolling-stock logistics enhancement.

The company clarified that the order is from a domestic entity and does not fall under related-party transactions. It further highlighted that this award adds to its growing infrastructure portfolio, which includes bridge construction and sleeper manufacturing across India and Africa.

With this win, GPT Infraprojects’ total order book now stands at Rs 4,066.9 crore, while cumulative order inflows for FY26 have touched Rs 610 crore, reflecting strong execution momentum and sustained bidding success .

The company operates across the infrastructure and concrete sleeper segments, with manufacturing facilities in India, South Africa, Namibia, and Ghana, reinforcing its international footprint in the rail supply chain.
