GPT Infraprojects Limited (GPTINFRA) has secured a significant milestone after being declared the L1 (first lowest) bidder for a major railway infrastructure project valued at ₹199.17 crore.

The project has been awarded by the North Eastern Railway, headquartered in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. It involves the construction of substructure works along with the fabrication and launching of superstructure components for two key bridges—Important Bridge No. 247 and Bridge No. 287, each spanning 10×61 metres.

Both structures will be built on Double D-type well foundations and will support double-line operations under the RDSO 25-tonne axle loading standard. These bridges are planned over the Rapti River, forming a critical part of the Khalilabad–Bahraich section, a route that plays an essential role in strengthening regional railway connectivity.
