Goodluck India Ltd has entered into a strategic alliance with BrahMos Aerospace Thiruvananthapuram Ltd (BATL) and Axiscades Technologies Ltd to jointly bid for the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)’s prestigious Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme. The tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 30th September 2025, marking a significant step towards strengthening India’s indigenous defence manufacturing ecosystem.
The partnership brings together the complementary expertise of all three organisations to respond to the Expression of Interest (EoI) floated by DRDO’s Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA). Goodluck India will contribute its strong manufacturing capabilities, BATL will provide its experience in defence and aerospace systems, and Axiscades will bring in engineering design and systems integration expertise.
This collaboration aligns with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, focusing on self-reliance in defence technologies. By pooling their strengths, the consortium aims to play a critical role in establishing India as a global hub for next-generation aerospace innovation.
The AMCA programme, designed entirely in India by ADA, is envisioned as a fifth-generation stealth fighter aircraft. The aircraft will feature advanced avionics, super-cruise capability, internal weapons bays, and cutting-edge electronic warfare systems. Once developed, AMCA is expected to significantly boost India’s air combat capabilities while reducing dependence on foreign platforms.
