GHCL Textiles has kicked off commercial production at the newly added fully automatic manufacturing section at its Paravai unit in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The expansion marks a key milestone in the company’s growth journey, as it enhances its overall production capacity and strengthens its presence in the textile industry.
The Paravai unit, already operating at a high capacity utilization of 99%, had an existing setup of 1,99,440 ring spindles. With the addition of 25,536 new ring spindles, the total capacity has now increased to 2,24,976 spindles. The upgraded section, named “Meenakshi,” officially commenced operations on July 2, 2025.
The project was completed with an investment of ₹215 crore, funded entirely through internal accruals. GHCL Textiles has highlighted that this expansion is part of its broader strategy to boost production capabilities and support future business growth.
