Genesys International has secured a ₹21.45 crore contract from the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) to develop a 3D digital twin map. This cutting-edge initiative, part of the New India Map Stack, aims to modernize urban governance, enhance property tax collection, and optimize municipal operations.
The project spans 11 zones, with an estimated cost of ₹1.95 crore per zone. By leveraging high-precision geospatial technology, Genesys will help HDMC streamline taxation, update property records, and identify unregistered properties. This initiative is expected to boost municipal revenue and drive smarter urban development.
Genesys’ advanced sensor constellation will capture detailed 3D representations of properties, roads, and city infrastructure. This data will support real-time monitoring, improve traffic management, and enhance disaster response strategies. High-resolution geospatial intelligence will play a crucial role in strengthening governance and creating a more efficient municipal system.
Sajid Malik, Chairman and Managing Director of Genesys International, emphasized the significance of this project, stating that it reinforces the company’s commitment to pioneering 3D digital twin mapping. By digitizing property records and optimizing tax revenues, the initiative sets a benchmark for modern urban management in India.
As part of the National Geospatial Policy 2022, this project highlights India’s growing emphasis on digital transformation in urban governance. With more cities adopting Digital Twin technology, the country is moving towards a data-driven approach to smart city development.
