Gateway Distriparks Limited has launched a new container train service connecting Kandla Port to its five Inland Container Depots (ICDs) in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, and Kashipur. This move strengthens its presence in the Western region, which also includes connections to Mundra, Pipavav, and Nhava Sheva ports.
Prem Kishan Dass Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director – Gateway Distriparks, stated, “Expanding our services to Kandla Port marks a significant milestone for Gateway Distriparks. While we anticipate initial volumes to be modest, we expect substantial growth in the future. Importantly, this expansion requires no additional capital expenditure or new rake deployment. By utilising our existing fleet through efficient hub-and-spoke operations, we demonstrate the strength and flexibility of our network. This approach allows us to meet increasing demand without incurring extra costs, ultimately benefiting our customers and shareholders.”
The new service enhances efficiency through double-stack train operations to Viramgam, Garhi, and Faridabad, with additional double-stacked containers routed via hubs in Ludhiana and Kashipur. By optimizing transit times, the company offers faster, more reliable solutions for businesses in key industrial hubs.
This strategic expansion reinforces Gateway Distriparks’ commitment to providing seamless and efficient logistics services, making it a preferred choice for industries across India.
