G R Infraprojects Limited has strengthened its footprint in the power transmission sector with the acquisition of Rajgarh Neemuch Power Transmission Limited (RNPTL) from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited. The deal, completed on 29th September 2025 through a cash consideration of ₹18.88 crore, has made RNPTL a wholly owned subsidiary of G R Infraprojects.
The acquisition is a strategic move to support G R Infraprojects’ renewable energy initiatives in Madhya Pradesh, specifically the transmission systems for evacuating power from the Rajgarh 1500 MW SEZ and Neemuch 1000 MW SEZ projects. As part of the project requirements, acquiring RNPTL was essential to ensure smooth execution.
RNPTL, incorporated on 17th June 2025, specializes in power transmission and distribution. Although newly established, the company will play a pivotal role in handling large-scale transmission projects in the state. The transaction is conducted at arm’s length, with no involvement of promoters or promoter group companies in RNPTL, ensuring full transparency.
