The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has announced its decision to sell the 2011 built Supramax Dry Bulk Carrier, ‘Jag Rishi,’ with a capacity of approximately 56,719 dwt. The sale is to an unaffiliated third party, with the delivery scheduled by Q4 FY25.

This move reflects the company’s ongoing fleet optimization efforts. Following the sale of ‘Jag Rishi,’ G E Shipping’s fleet will include 39 vessels, comprising 26 tankers (5 crude carriers, 17 product tankers, and 4 LPG carriers) and 13 dry bulk carriers (2 Capesize, 8 Kamsarmax, and 3 Supramax), aggregating a total of 3.10 million dwt.

The decision underscores the company’s strategic efforts to balance its operational efficiency while addressing market dynamics.
