The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping), India’s largest private sector shipping company, has took delivery of a 2010-built Suezmax Crude Carrier named Jag Laadki. The vessel, with a capacity of about 164,716 deadweight tonnes (dwt), marks another milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its crude transportation capabilities.
The company had contracted to purchase Jag Laadki in the second quarter of FY26, and the acquisition has been fully financed through internal accruals — highlighting G E Shipping’s strong balance sheet and financial discipline.
With this addition, G E Shipping’s owned fleet now stands at 41 vessels, consisting of 27 tankers (including 6 crude carriers, 17 product tankers, and 4 LPG carriers) and 14 dry bulk carriers, aggregating a total capacity of 3.37 million dwt.
In addition to expanding its fleet, the company has also planned two vessel sales — one Suezmax crude tanker and one Medium Range (MR) product tanker — which are expected to be completed in the third quarter of FY26.
