Girish Mathrubootham, founder of Freshworks, took to his official X account, formerly known as Twitter, to announce that he will be stepping into new role as Executive Chairman of Freshworks.

It has also been announced that Dennis Woodside, the President of the company, will be posing as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Saas company.

While declaring the news, the founder also shared a message with his employees stating, “The past 14 years have been an incredible journey, one that has seen Freshworks grow from a fledging starup in Chennai into the global SaaS company that we are today… We’re a true friend to our more than 67,000 customers worldwide, and our global Kudumba now has over 49,000 talented members. This journey would not have been possible without each of you – coming in and making Freshworks a little bit better every day.”

Mathrubootham shared that he has been working with Dennis for more than 18 months now, and he is confident that he is the right leader to take on the CEO role due to his ability to attract top talent and build world class teams and operational excellence.
