EMS Limited has announced that it has been awarded the status of the lowest bidder (L-1) in the biggest tender of the company, granted by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The tender, valued at approximately Rs. 681.49 crore (Rupees Six Hundred Eighty-One Crore and Forty-Nine Lakh), includes a 15-year Operations & Maintenance component. The project involves pollution abatement work aimed at the rejuvenation of the River Adi Ganga in Kolkata, West Bengal.

The project encompasses design, build, test, and commissioning activities to be completed within 36 months, including a 3-month trial run, followed by a 15-year Operations & Maintenance period. The order has been awarded by a domestic entity, and EMS Limited has received a letter of acceptance. The order value is Rs. 681.49 crore, with EMS Limited holding a 74% share and its joint venture partner holding a 26% share.

EMS Limited confirmed that neither the promoter group nor any related parties have any interest in the entity awarding the contract, ensuring the transaction is not a related party transaction. The announcement was signed by Ashish Tomar, Managing Director and CFO of EMS Limited. The company has committed to providing further updates on the project as developments occur. This significant win marks a major milestone for EMS Limited, reinforcing its position in the infrastructure and environmental solutions sector.
