VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), a subsidiary of Eicher Motors, reported a 7.6% year-on-year increase in total sales for March 2025, delivering 12,094 units as compared to 11,242 units in March 2024. The annual sales for FY2024–25 also grew 5.4% to 90,161 units, up from 85,560 units in the previous fiscal.
In the domestic segment, VECV sold 11,187 units in March 2025, up 6.3% from 10,525 units in the same month last year. This growth was driven by a 23.2% jump in light and medium-duty (LMD) bus sales and a 33% increase in heavy-duty (HD) bus sales. However, small commercial vehicles (SCV) and LMD trucks (<18.5T) saw a marginal decline of 1.3%.
For the fiscal year, total domestic sales stood at 82,543 units, a 4% increase year-on-year.
Exports registered a robust 44.3% growth in March 2025, reaching 665 units, led by a near doubling of bus exports. Total exports for FY25 reached 5,181 units, a sharp 39.2% rise from the prior year.
The Eicher-branded trucks and buses contributed 87,724 units to the annual tally, growing 5.6% YoY, while Volvo-branded sales dipped slightly by 1.4% to 2,437 units for the year.
