DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited has announced that it has received a work order from the Indian Army for the supply of 500 Sub Tactical Very Short Range Drones, marking another major step in the company’s defense and security vertical.

According to the company’s regulatory filing dated October 21, 2025, the contract is valued at Rs 2.59 crore and was awarded on October 18, 2025. The order will be executed in three phases — with 166 units to be delivered by April 16, 2026, another 167 by July 15, 2026, and the final batch of 167 drones by October 18, 2026.

DroneAcharya highlighted that this order reinforces its technological strength and manufacturing capabilities in FPV drones, further solidifying its position in the defense and security segment. The company expects the project to contribute positively to its growth and reputation within India’s expanding defense technology ecosystem.

The deal with the Indian Army underscores DroneAcharya’s growing role in domestic drone manufacturing and aligns with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative to strengthen indigenous defense capabilities.
